Honor Cords (aka Chords)

Recognition of individual achievement and participation is an integral part of every student’s graduation. Select your honor cords from our array of colorful choices (sometimes misspelled as honor chords or honors chords). Whether you are participating in a commencement ceremony as a member of an honors society, fraternity, sorority, department recognition, or even as summa cum laude, magna cum laude, or cum laude, honor cords serve to recognize your achievement, and we have the right honor cord for you. We even work with various honor societies. And we supply honor college stole products as well. Academic’s honor cords come in a variety of color choices, listed below. Honor cords are sold in pairs, (generally tied together), and online ordering assumes a set of two. Individual cords are half-price of the set, and sets of three (tied together or sold separately) can also be ordered. Quantity discounts are available. Each cord is made from a rayon exterior, wrapped around an unseen cotton core. Each individual cord measures about 60 inches (5′ feet or so), and that includes two end tassels that are roughly 4″ long each. Generally, a knot reduces the length by about 4″ end to end.

Production turn-around time estimates are measured from order placement date to order shipment date for this product and college stoles and are usually 3-4 weeks for standard orders, and 2 weeks for rush orders (for an additional fee). Please remember that shipping also takes some additional time, and these production estimates can change depending on the season.

Shipping charges also apply to all orders, and depend on your exact address. All orders ship by standard UPS, insured, unless you pay for a faster shipping method. Tax applies as for California shipping addresses.

Academic Apparel functions on two seasons: graduation season, which runs from about March through June, and non-graduation season, which runs from July to February. If there is a more expensive option, it will be during the graduation season.
