Offering individually tailored bespoke judicial gowns with standard features including a pocket and slit combo, hook-and-eye closures, pleating, fluting, and other customizable options such as choice of closure as a snap, zipper or velcro (or even a frog-closure), your embroidered name or initials on the inside of your robe, elbow patches, and velvet trim.   

Academic offers higher end construction detailing on our judicial robes, including a concealed slit on the right and left, reinforced neckline with rayon cordedge, and full fluting over the shoulders and across the back. We also include lined sleeves with the inner lining made from a softer and lighter fabric for improve comfort and reduction in sleeves pulling up while seated (similar to a j-piece), and a yoke constructed in in eight separate pieces and including a Pellon-like interfacing which helps provide accurate fit, shape retention, a reduced neck gape, and long term comfort. Finally Academic uses full pleats extending from below the yoke to the hem of the robe.
