Graduation Caps and Tassels

Our standard Keeper Graduation Cap and Tassel (otherwise known as a Keeper Mortarboard) comes in your choice of a wide variety of colors. Available as a cap only, or with a rayon tassel and graduation year metallic tassel drop. One size fits all. Rayon tassel’s for the Keeper graduation caps are available in your choice of solid or two colors. Caps are $5.00 each without a tassel, or $7.50 each with a tassel, and quantity discounts may apply. Keeper Graduation Caps are also sold in package deals along with a Keeper Graduation gown. These caps with tassels are intended for student graduation ceremonies. Advanced degrees, Graduate degrees, most College degrees, faculty and administrators use Professional or Verona Tams (sometimes with a gold bullion tassel) or professional mortarboards.

Academic Apparel functions on two seasons: graduation season, which runs from about March through June, and non-graduation season, which runs from July to February. If there is a more expensive option, it will be during the graduation season.

There is a minimum of 25 applications of any given design.  So, for example, if you are ordering honor stoles, it would be a minimum 25 honor stoles.

When submitting your design, please try and keep in mind the visible space available for your design.  For example, our honor stoles are about 32 inches long each side, and about 4 and one-half inches wide.  However, some of that length is a tapered section near your neck that would not be visible, and another is a tapered section that comes to a point at the bottom of the stole.  Realistically there is only about 18” to 19” of vertical length to work with, and around 4” of horizontal width, on each side.

Because all embroidered and silk-screened items are unique custom-made items, there are NO RETURNS ON EMBROIDERED OR SILK-SCREENED ITEMS.

Colors, Production Times, Shipping, and Payment

The colors generally available include those listed below. Please note that the colors you see on this page may not be accurate (since everyone’s monitor and video settings differ). If you would like free swatch samples, they are included along with our free catalog.

shipping charge will apply to all orders (priced depending on your exact location and the type of shipping speed you choose), and rush fees if you need it rush ordered (if available). Tax applies only to shipping locations within California. Generally, production times are around 4-5 weeks without a rush fee, or 3 weeks with a rush fee (when available). Shipping time is generally about one week for standard UPS shipping, or faster if you pay for a faster shipping method.

We accept many forms of payment, including credit cards (American Express, Discover, eCheck, MasterCard, Visa), and U.S. based personal or business checks (either in the mail or through an online eCheck, easily processed through our site). Purchasing can be done directly online (using the menu link to the left) for all listed items except embroidered stoles, which require a fax, mail, or email submission for price estimation.

Please note that when paying with a check online (using our eCheck system), it’s just like using a regular check. Which means the banks take 10 days before they will clear the check. That means we cannot ship an order paid with a check until the 11th day after we received the order (so that we can verify the check cleared). This 10 day hold applies even to orders where you pay the rush fee. If you need an order very quickly, it’s best to pay with a credit card.
